The Proposed Roadway Plan for the Draft Klamath County TSP consists of policies, plans, and projects for the following elements of the street system:
- Street functional classification
- Road Design Standards
- Access Management
- Roadway Improvements
- Freight Improvements
- ITS Improvements
- Safety Improvements (this section is described in more detail in the "Safety Plan" room)
The is a brief summary of roadway needs. The complete list is provided in Technical Memorandum #3 - Existing and Future Conditions Inventory and Analysis:
- Poor pavement conditions exist on several state highways.
- Passing lanes are limited on several freight routes.
- The County lacks a connected and reliable ITS infrastructure.
- Between 2013 and 2017, a total of 2,217 crashes were reported in Klamath County, outside of UGB areas.
