Bicycle System

People riding bicycles “share the road” with motorists along most of the streets within the Town. Share-the-road biking facilities are consistent with the Town’s collector street standard, but do not meet standards for arterial streets, such as OR 140 and US 395, which require dedicated bicycle facilities.

Bicycle lanes exist within Lakeview along the more rural sections of S 3rd Street, S Roberta Road, and S 9th Street.

The Town would benefit from a complete bicycle system along OR 140 and US 395 to improve comfort and convenience for people bicycling.
