Roadway Plan
The roadway system within Waldport consists of two state highways (US 101 and OR 34) and several city streets. The streets located east of US 101 and north of OR 34 are based on a grid system while the streets located throughout the rest of the city reflect natural, environmental, and topographical constraints.
Based on a review of the roadway system, there are several areas where existing roadways could be improved and were new roadways could be constructed to increase the efficiency of the transportation system as well as improve access and circulation for all travel modes.
The Roadway System Plan includes projects to increase the efficiency of the transportation system through changes in the functional classification of roadways, development of roadway standards and standard cross sections, and improvements in connectivity.
The exhibits to the right illustrate the rodway system plan projects.
