East Side Alternatives

In this room, you will find the alternatives developed for the area east of the interchange. Click on the exhibits at right to see what this area would look like with the proposed modifications.

Area Background

While several businesses along Greensprings Drive and Memorial Drive rely on highway connections to OR 140 to maintain viability, the location of the existing intersections of these roads with OR 140 pose several challenges that threaten safe and efficient traffic operations. As such, the alternatives presented here consider two options:

• An at-grade intersection of Greensprings Drive and Memorial Drive

• A grade separated intersection of Greensprings Drive and Memorial Drive

Both options provide a frontage road to the existing Greensprings Drive alignment that would provide access to the established businesses there. Further, it is possible to build the at-grade alternative and convert to the grade separated alternative if needed in the future.
