ODOT Regions 4 & 5: Active Transportation Needs InventoryVirtual Workshop

Next Steps

ODOT Regions 4 and 5 now have inventories of their pedestrian and bicycle systems, and they have evaluated the gaps and deficiencies to understand the areas of highest need. This evaluation can be used in a variety of ways:

  • In scoping of future projects or projects that have already been funded

  • In future project selection

  • In project design

  • To identify locations most in need of dedicated pedestrian or bicycle projects

Over the next 5 years, ODOT is working on Volume 1: Near Term Actions of the Implementation Work Plan for the Statewide Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan. The Active Transportation Needs Inventory provides the baseline for the tasks in this Work Plan, as well as for future medium- and long-term actions towards implementing the Statewide Plan.
