Project Description

Through a collaborative effort between the community, City, and County, multiple alternatives to improve South Ivy Street were evaluated. The final project will include widening the existing two-lane roadway to three lanes with a median left turn lane, a full street width grind and inlay, construction of sidewalks and bicycle lanes, street lighting, underground power, stormwater management upgrades, and installation of a new traffic signal at the intersection of South Ivy Street and South Township Road. This alternative best meets the need to safely accommodate existing traffic growth, minimize impacts to adjacent properties and parking, and make South Ivy a more walkable and complete street.
