11th Street Bikeway DesignVirtual Workshop

Project Overview

The goal of the project is to design a bikeway to improve safety and comfort on 11th Street to create a premier “ridge-to-river” bicycle connection between the Foothills, the Greenbelt, and Downtown Boise. 11th Street was identified as a potential bikeway in the 2016 North Boise Neighborhood Pedestrian and Bicycle Plan. It's also included in the 2018 Roadways to Bikeways Bicycle Master Plan Update.

A community survey was conducted in November 2018 to learn more about the corridor. Of the 1,016 participants, 92% supported an 11th Street Bikeway! Click on the exhibit to the right to see what people had to say at a follow up public meeting in July 2019.

The project you are reviewing today reflects the community feedback and extends from Heron Street to State Street where it will connect with the Downtown 11th Street Bikeway project being developed by the Capital City Development Corporation and City of Boise, in cooperation with ACHD and the Idaho Department of Transportation.
