Middleton Road Corridor PlanVirtual Workshop

Ongoing Plans

The project team reviewed relevant past plans and studies to understand previous work completed along the corridor and identify planned improvements. Projects that are already planned for the Middleton Road corridor include:

  • Middleton Road/Ustick Road This study recommends a roundabout with one circulating lane and exclusive right-turn lanes on each approach. Construction funds are programmed for this project, with construction expected to occur after the year 2020.

  • Middleton Road/US20/26 This study is currently being updated. The plan is not complete, but the draft plan recommends a half continuous flow intersection. Construction funds have not yet been programmed for this intersection. More information about this project can be found on ITD's website here

  • Middleton Road/Linden Road This study recommends a multi-lane roundabout. This project does not yet have funding.

  • Other Projects

    • City of Caldwell has plans to remove the Marble Front Road intersection with Middleton Road and connect Marble Front Road to Lincoln Road west of Middleton Road.
    • Lincoln Road west of Middleton Road is planned to be realigned across from Lincoln Road on the east side of Middleton Road to create a 4-leg intersection.
    • An extension of N Middleton Road from State Highway (SH) 44 to Sawtooth Lake Drive will be built, with the intent for this new roadway to serve as the primary regional route.
    • Funding for these projects has not been identified and they may occur with development.
